Science Olympiad is better then programing.

What is Science Olympiad, and why is it better then programming you might ask? Science Olympiad is a scientific track meet of sorts with 23 different events! A team can consist of up to 15 high school students and up to 7 seniors. The events center around current scientific topics such as geology and green technology. Each team will send at least one member to each event to compete against other teams. There are many different categories of topics. This can include; Life, personal & social science, earth & space science, physical science & chemistry, technology & engineering, inquiry & nature of science. These are all categories of topics in the C division(high school). The rules are presented with each event but there are some basic rules that could be generally considered common  knowledge, like you may not use a pencil in such a way that it interferes with the event. The goal of Science Olympiad? To improve K-12 grade education, increasing male to female ratio in scientific communities, creating a technologically-literate workforce in America and providing recognition for outstanding scientific achievement by both students and teachers. This is what the people at Science Olympiad strive for.
